This is the website of Scott Slocum, a self-described "Independent Scientific/Political Commentator," who made his most recent blog entry here in about December 2017. In his continuing efforts to keep up, at least, with required, modern technical standards, Scott converted the website from the classic to the new "Google Sites" (starting in about August, 2019 and finally succeeding in October, 2019 through his best-available--but limited--technical skills), with the loss of some old features, including the blog and FAQ gadgets on each header page (e.g. the "Trapping" header page). Not to worry; the blog and FAQ gadgets were effectively replaced by the menus that now appear to the left of each page. As always, the "Search this site" feature is recommended, given Scott's tendency to make multiple, related entries on a subject at different times and places, without necessarily linking them together. Thanks for your patience, and thanks for visiting!

Hint: to search by subject, "Search this site" (above-right) from any page.

Searching by subject is a good way to find all of the blog entries, etc. on a given subject, without relying on the blogger's links (which might not be as clear or complete as desired).
