This is the outdated website of Scott Slocum, "Independent Scientific/Political Commentator," who made his most recent blog entry here in 2017. It was created using the classic "Google Sites", and was automatically, partially, converted to the new "Google Sites" in 2019. Not to worry; the former blog and FAQ gadgets on each header page (e.g. the "Trapping" header page) were effectively replaced by the menus that now appear to the left of each page. The "Search this site" feature remains invaluable, given Scott's tendency to make multiple, related entries on a subject at different times and places, without necessarily linking them together. Thanks for your patience in searching for information here, and thanks for visiting!
